Innovative Wraparound Peel And Reveal Food Labels

25-02-2015

We are delighted to announce the launch of our newly constructed peel and reveal food labels. They have a lower price point than traditional peel and reveal labels. New ‘Wraparound’ Style Food Labels Launched! After feedback from clients and product development and testing, the new wraparound style labels can be a cost effective alternative to the traditional method which involves several labels adhered to each other to form a layered effect; in comparison these food labels are just one label. It is a long label that is constructed so that it can wrap around itself when applied to a product. The lead portion of the label can be peeled away and then re-adhered by the user. The labels can be printed both sides if required. Peelable labels offer you the ability to fit extra information on to your products or offer a lot of information within a small space. They are crease free when wrapped around cylindrical items, which can be particularly useful for small products. The new product comes in a timely manner in relation to major label law changes in the food industry. The changes mean you could need creative ways to fit extra information on to your food labels without detracting from the impact of your brand. The FIC food and nutrition labelling regulations came into effect in December last year with another huge 27 amendments planned between that December 2014 and 2017. The changes involve the displaying of extra mandatory information on food labels and better legibility of text which may involve fitting more onto an existing label. If you are using traditional print methods such as flexographic, rather than digital, these changes could result in extra cost (origination, different variations, disposing of old label stock), extra time and in some cases monumental changes to packaging. Peel and reveal labels printed digitally can be a sensible answer.
